A Space of Our Own

We’re wishing BIG here but—we’re ready. We have a full three-year budget, a signed fiscal sponsor agreement in motion, a community-rooted plan, and a whole lineup of programs ready to roll. All we need now? A space to make it real.
We’re looking for the right home to hold all the beautiful, bold, messy magic we’re about to create. That means enough room to throw paint, host Empowerment Circles, roll out yoga mats, hang swings, and welcome people of all ages and backgrounds into a space where they feel like they finally belong.
Whether it’s a building you own, an open and available warehouse, a year of rent support, or just a lead on a spot with room to throw paint and host empowerment circles—we’re open to it all. Help us plant roots and open our doors.

Epson EcoTank Pro ET-16600

Estimated Cost: $899 – $999
Look—we love color. We love printing. What we don’t love? Blowing our whole budget on ink cartridges every two weeks. This wide-format beast prints big, prints bright, and prints like it’s got something to prove.
No pricey cartridges—just refillable tanks that go the distance
Prints flyers, posters, and even participant art up to 13" x 19"
Handles big jobs fast without breaking a sweat
Easy to use (because no one here is a tech genius)
If we’re gonna make magic, we need the tools to do it. This one’s at the top of our list.

Reusable Coveralls (Toddler to 6X)

Because creativity knows no size. We’re not into disposable—we’re into legacy. These suits will get splattered, loved, and worn with pride. We don't care if they're new but, inclusive sizing is non-negotiable.
Fabric paint can be messy—suits protect skin and clothes
Helps kids, elders, and everybody in between feel included
We’ll wash ‘em and reuse ‘em. Over and over.

High-End Yoga Mats

These mats aren’t just for show—they’ll be used daily by people sitting, stretching, grounding, or just needing a place to lie still and breathe. We need mats that can handle it all: easy to clean, built to last, and soft enough to support real moments of expression, restoration, or just flat-out needing a break from the world.
The picture? Yep, yoga for kids is already in the plans. But don’t worry—seasoned souls, wise ones, vintage originals (whatever title makes you feel fabulous), we’ve got a class just for you too. Comfort comes standard, no matter the age.

Comfort Corner Essentials

Shag rug (yes, SHAG—don’t judge, we’re not that kind of center)
Floor cushions, oversized pillows, weighted blankets
Nice soft blankets for the "quiet ones"
Speakers or sound system for music and dance for the "loud ones"
ambient lighting
Diffuser or light scent options
This space will be for the quiet tears, the decompressing moms, the veterans holding it in, and the teens who need somewhere safe to stare at the wall. This corner will matter more than we can say.

Shuttle Van or Bus (yes, really)

This isn’t a “maybe someday” item—it’s freedom, access, and equity on wheels. We dream of taking participants out into the city, to print shirts with storm drains and brick textures, or just to reach people who can’t get to us.
Supports future programs like Ink the City™
Critical for pop-up galleries, community events, and intergenerational outings
Bonus idea: “Tag That Bus™” — fully painted by the community
Right now we walk and bus it. But one day….
🧡 This one’s big—but it opens up everything.

Indoor Sensory Swings/Hammocks

These aren’t just cool—they’re crucial. Yes, they help with trauma recovery and nervous system repair. But they also offer something a lot of people don’t get enough of: a place to fall apart privately.
Sometimes you need to sway in silence or cry without an audience. These swings are for that.
We’ll need someone skilled to install them too—our founder can build a nonprofit from scratch, but she still can’t hang a picture frame straight. We accept her strengths.
And hey—if you see this picture of the outdoor swing and think, “They need that too!”...you’re right. If we end up with the outdoor space, we’d love one! Bonus: whoever builds it always gets first dibs on using it!

Furniture (The Kind That Says "Stay Awhile")

We’re not trying to build a waiting room. We’re building a place where people feel safe sinking into a couch, curling up in a chair, or journaling at a sturdy table that doesn’t wobble when emotions hit.
We need:
– Couches and comfy chairs (wipeable but cozy)
– A BIG table and some chairs for when everyone comes together (ok, maybe not quite as big as the picture but you get the idea)
– Storage that holds A LOT (storage bins, locking cabinets)
– A big desk for the front area that hopefully feels more “come on in” than “take a number”
If it feels warm, welcoming, and is built for spontaneous creativity, it belongs here.

Miscellaneous

Yarn, and lots of it, for our community quilt project
Tape-any and every kind!
Clothesline and clothespins, not for washing our clothes ...well, maybe for that...but only if we made them! It's also a great way to hang paintings-to view and to dry
Weird painting tools—potato mashers, cardboard scraps, rubber bands, dish sponges. People heal in different ways, and sometimes that requires a toilet brush dipped in neon.
Twine, wire, anything a little stronger than tape that holds things together
If you have a bunch (or a little) of anything laying around that you aren't using, reach out! Most likely we can use it-we're creative like that! Seriously, if it isn't for painting it could be for a sculpture...or who knows?
