Create to Cope: A Soft Launch Celebration

August 1 | 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Milwaukee, WI (final address shared with registered guests)

This night isn’t a class. It’s not a gallery. It’s not even an “event” in the usual sense. It’s a gathering of community-and a chance to see firsthand what the WN Center for Creative Wellness is all about. Here’s a hint: it was created for those society often overlooks:
Foster youth
LGBTQ+ and BIPOC teens
Quiet veterans
Stressed-out caregivers
and anyone navigating grief, burnout, or simply being human.
There’s no right way to show up, and no wrong way to express yourself. No prep. No pressure. No perfection. Come meet the team, try whatever you like. This night belongs to you.
Want to join us?
Send an email to contact@wncenter.org
Include:
Your name, number of guests, and anything else you'd like to.
Don't worry. We'll reply.
This isn’t charity. It’s community in action.
And it starts with you.

Ink the City

Ink the City

This isn’t paint-by-numbers. It’s print-by-street. Because we don’t do “staying inside the lines.”
We’re not painting fruit bowls. We’re finding what most people ignore—inking the city into something bold, wearable, and completely ours.
Every drain cover, every busted-up brick wall? That’s texture. That’s story. That’s art.
You’ll design and press your own shirts. You keep one. The rest go to fund more raw, real, community-powered programs.
We stay local. We explore the streets most people overlook. We turn what’s forgotten into something unforgettable.
No art rules. No expectations.
Show up curious. Show up comfortable.
Show up in clothes you don’t care about—because you will get dirty, and that’s part of the point.
We’re starting right here—in our own backyard—proving that beauty, potential, and meaning live on every block, if you just look close enough. And if this goes well? We’ll take it city-wide, one neighborhood at a time.
We just need our van.
(Your move, Mercedes.)

Release and Reflect Gala

Release and Reflect Gala

This isn’t just an art show—it’s a soul show.
The Release & Reflect Gala is our signature fundraising night, where the community comes together to experience—and support—the raw, real, and radically expressive work created in our healing programs. Every piece on display was made by someone who dared to show up, feel it, and create through it.
This is art born from emotion. From survival. From joy, grief, chaos, clarity—and everything in between. Guests will have the chance to purchase these one-of-a-kind works, with all proceeds going directly toward sustaining and expanding our creative wellness programs.
Come dressed in whatever makes you feel powerful. Witness the beauty of what happens when people are given space to release what’s heavy… and reflect on what rises from the mess.

Grief Garden Planting

A place to plant, process, and begin again.
The Grief Garden is a living, growing memorial space where individuals of all ages are invited to release what they’ve lost—and root something new in its place. Guests will choose from flowers, herbs, or small plants and mark their planting with a painted stone or handmade garden stake labeled with the name, memory, or meaning behind their grief.
This is a space for reflection, creation, and healing. Some may choose to cry, others may simply paint in silence. All are welcome to show up as they are.
The garden will remain open as a space of quiet remembrance and ongoing reflection—because grief doesn’t end in one night, and healing doesn’t happen on a schedule.

Truth or Dare WN Style

This isn’t your cousin’s game night. Truth or Dare: WN Style brings bold prompts and real talk into a judgment-free zone where honesty meets art, and vulnerability gets the mic. Pick from curated cards designed to spark connection, reflection, and probably a few plot twists.

Grown folks only—this version is for adults, as some topics may get personal, real, or just plain grown.

Heads up: a family-friendly edition is on the way, so the younger crew can get their turn too!

And yes—Couples Night is coming, too. Whether you’re just getting to know each other or trying to remember why you liked each other in the first place, this version is built to spark joy, insight, and maybe even a little romance. (Don’t worry—we’re not going deep enough to cause breakups. Probably.)
